There are many things to experience in Victoria, but here are just a few suggestions.
There is the convenience of Cook Street Village one block east which is a quaint, tree-lined enclave of shops that boasts several restaurants, coffee shops, a neighborhood pub, a wine store, pharmacy, post office, grocery stores and bus stop. Just around the corner from the village the Robert Amos Studio and Gallery welcomes visitors. In addition to the definitive collection of this artist's paintings you'll also see original oils by his wife, Sarah Amos. In the fascinating ambience of a working studio you'll find an extensive selection of prints, cards and books available. We are five minutes to Craigdarroch Castle and Government House with its extensive gardens as well as the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. We are five minutes to the Inner Harbor, Empress Hotel, Royal British Columbia Museum, and U.S. ferries. Visit our famous Butchard Gardens using the convenience of tour buses that leave every hour from the Empress Hotel or take the scenic rural drive through West Saanich dotted with road side stands along the way. We can make a reservation for you at the Empress Hotel for high tea or at one of the many delightful and hidden spots Victoria has to offer. We can arrange bike rentals for you as well. One of the most popular is the 55-kilometre Galloping Goose Trail. Another great ride is the Lochside Trail which runs from the BC Ferries near Sidney to downtown Victoria. Cycle, walk, roller blade or ride a horse along this former rail line past some of B.C.'s finest West Coast scenery. Experience the original railway through urban back streets and waterways where every turn in the trail leads to a new and exciting outdoor adventure. If you are a lover of the great outdoors we can arrange your whale watching tour, a special fishing expedition or as an alternative, a spectacular Island adventure day tour (see details below).
